My honest opinion of Host Gator is that you can’t go wrong using they are your webhost provider.

For many years they were my main recommendation to clients for hosting and to this day I still maintain a number of my websites on Host Gator.

Host Gator using the standard Cpanel interface for web host administration so it is easy to maintain your email, file space and do installs of WordPress and joomla among other applications using Fantastico.

Their support is second only to Rochehost in my opinion but I’d still give it 9 out of 10 stars.

Host Gator gives you almost 8 times the space that you would receive with Rochenhost at this time. This may be good if you are uploading nad hosting alot of videos on your site and haven’t started using Amazon S3 for your video file hosting. ( You should be though!).

Bottom line is that if you choose Host Gator or Rochenhost you really can’t go wrong. I still prefer Rochenhost for my most important sites though for the Rochen Vault backup feature.
